After taking over the business in 2014 Lisa Manley became the driving force behind Butts Green Garden Centre & Cafe where we aim to bring you a first-class choice of plants, food, and gifts. Our nature-filled destination is tranquil, yet just a stone's throw away from the A12 and Bustling City of Chelmsford, Essex.
Our Cafe is one of the only establishments to make and bake everything we can on site down to the devotion of our chefs and front of house staff.

I cannot get over the superb and very kind service I received from Lisa (the owner) at this garden centre. Living in Spain I had an issue with my Niece’s 50th birthday gift! I looked online for a garden centre near her home in Essex UK. I saw Butts delivered so I called to ask about what would make a great gift for a garden...
Lisa helped me hugely and today, the actual birthday, she wrote to tell me that she was about to deliver it! Such amazing service, warmth and kindness PLUS wonderful products for sale !! Highly recommended and I’m hugely grateful too!

A great cafe within the garden centre, staff friendly and helpful and the food was excellent, would recommend and we will definitely be back to look around the Christmas displays in a few weeks.
